Foundation Courses
The Foundation Courses are designed to help students who do not meet the traditional entry requirements for direct admission into undergraduate degree programmes. This four-year pathway includes an initial foundation year that develops the essential academic skills and subject knowledge required for successful progression into higher-level study.
The foundation year focuses on strengthening key skills such as academic writing, mathematics, computing, communication, and presentation techniques. It also introduces students to the fundamentals of the modern business environment, providing valuable context for future learning.
Academic Journey
Duration: 4 years
Inside the Learning Segments
The foundation year includes the following modules:
- Research Skills
- Professional Communication in Health & Social Care
- Data Skills
- Personal and Professional Development in Health & Social Care
Applicants should have:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or CEFR B2 (testing available on campus if required)
- Applicants aged 21+ without formal qualifications may be considered based on work or vocational experience
- All applicants must pass an academic interview
