BSc (Hons) Psychology

This psychology degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means graduates (with at least a 2:2 grade) are eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership. The programme introduces you to the fundamental and contemporary areas of psychology – such as cognitive, developmental, social, biological, and research psychology – and gives you flexibility through a wide range of electives so you can tailor your degree with interests like sport & exercise, health, coaching, counselling, neuropsychology, or forensic psychology.

Arden emphasises student support, employability, and real-world application. You’ll study via both online and blended learning modes, with access to an extensive digital library and research tools (software like Jamovi, Gorilla for experiments) plus opportunities for voluntary or work-based experience. Assessments are built around authentic tasks (presentations, reports, role-plays, project work) rather than exams. A major independent research project in your final year helps you specialize while cementing academic and professional skills.
