ASSESSMENT

 

Attendance Course:

  • Oral assessments (Interviewing & Advocacy)
  • Open book exams
  • Choice: Handwritten exams on-campus OR online with remote proctoring
  • Range of assessment methods

LLM Students:

  • Written report
  • Oral assessment
  • Professional Practice Research Report

Academic:

  • Minimum 2:2 (Second-class honours) Qualifying Law Degree, OR
  • Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), OR
  • Common Professional Examination (CPE), OR
  • MA Law (Conversion)

Transition Arrangements:

  • Students who completed/started/accepted offer by specific dates can use LPC route until 31 December 2032
  • QLD: Started by 31 December 2021
  • GDL/CPE/MA: Started by 31 December 2021 (most cases)
  • LPC: Started by 31 December 2021
  • Training Contract: Started by 31 December 2021

EU Law Requirement:

  • If your law degree didn’t include EU Law module, must study standalone online module before LPC

Visa Students:

  • No visa sponsorship for part-time study
  • Cannot study online (Home Office regulations)

After LPC Completion:

  • Training Contract (1-2 years practical experience)
  • Admission as Solicitor
  • 2-year Graduate Work Visa available (international students)

LPC Route:
