MSc Agile Project Management with AI

This course is an innovative programme with AI designed to develop the knowledge, skills and professional capabilities needed to lead projects in today’s rapidly changing global environment. You will explore key areas including agile project management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, leadership, risk management and sustainability. Strategic Project Leadership and Governance (30 credits)

You will examine how governance structures, leadership approaches, ethical standards and stakeholder relationships shape project success. You will also evaluate leadership models, governance frameworks and decision-making processes within complex, global and politically sensitive project environments. Furthermore, you will gain knowledge and ability to align project objectives with organisational strategy and ESG priorities.

You will learn how to design integrated project schedules and cost plans. You will also apply AI tools for forecasting, scheduling and optimisation and evaluate performance control techniques. Overall, you will gain hands-on experience using software and analytics to design, monitor and optimise project performance.

You will learn how to design and manage adaptive project environments. You will compare agile, hybrid and traditional approaches and apply agile tools in project scenarios. You will also evaluate digital platforms for project delivery. Furthermore, you will gain knowledge and skills to assess organisational readiness for agile and AI adoption.

You will develop advanced risk management capability using predictive analytics and AI. You will learn how to apply AI for risk modelling. You will also design crisis response strategies and critically evaluate resilience strategies.

You will learn how to embed sustainability and innovation within project design and delivery. You will gain knowledge and skills required to design sustainable project strategies. You will also evaluate innovation approaches and assess social and environmental impact of projects.

You will undertake a substantial applied project addressing a real organisational challenge. You will apply advanced project management tools to ensure successful project delivery. You will also evaluate your own learning and professional development using appropriate reflective model.

To study this course, you need:

  • 2:2 honours degree; or
  • Equivalent professional qualifications

You must meet the minimum English language requirements to join the course:

  • 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component (IELTS)
